The library is staffed totally by volunteers and is open Sunday to Thursday morning 8.30am to 12.30am

Gura Family Memorial Library
The refurbished Gura Family Memorial library holds over 6000 books and is one of the main attractions at our centre. The books are mainly paperback fiction and ensure that our members always have a good read on hand. There is also a large selection of audio books in the Sectar Hall.Over twenty years ago the late Sol Gura walked into the AACI offices. At that stage the library was just a shelf of books in the main hall. Sol donated the funds in memory of his late father Nathan Gura to make the library in the room it is today.
Sol frequently made donations to the Nathan Gura library which enabled us to build up the shelves and stocks of books. As the library grew so did the numbers of our members who use it. In 2004 we received a generous donation from the Sol & Esther Gura Memorial Fund of the Los Angeles Jewish Foundation which enabled us to completely refurbish the library. Since it’s refurbishment the number of readers has almost doubled. The Gura family’s generosity has enriched the lives of so many English speakers in Netanya. Beit Oleh America Netanya AACI is very proud to house the Gura Family memorial library.

Library Hours
We have received a request to open the Gura Family Memorial library one afternoon or evening a week for our members who are working and can’t get to the AACI during the day. In the past, when the library was open in the evening, we found very few members took advantage of the service. Mobile Book Service

We are very proud of the service we have introduced for our members who cannot manage the access to our building. Our book mobile (instead of you coming to our library, the library comes to you once a month) has been very warmly received.

As this program expands, we also need more friendly volunteers to join our team - we especially need drivers.
