9.30am Wednesday 19 November  Our monthly program is under the guidance of Irma Goodman, a drama teacher for many years, who has run drama workshops internationally.

For our November film she has chosen  Everything is Illuminated.

A young man (Elijah Wood) takes a strange and unexpectedly funny journey to Ukraine in search of the woman who supposedly saved his grandfather from the Nazis. With the help of a hip-hop obsessed tour guide named Alex, Alex's grandfather as chauffeur and their dog, Jonathan searches for the meaning of the present that lies buried in the past, unexpectedly shedding the same light on the lives of those around him. The film is a screen adaptation of the novel by Jonathan Safran Foer and is directed by the actor Liev Schreiber.
