October 27-10:45 am
10.45am Tuesday 27 October
Do you like to talk about books?
Do you have a favorite book you have read that you would like to share?
We are starting a new book talk group led by Liz Morley which will meet once a month, on a Tuesday, at 10.45am. Liz has been working with book clubs for over 10 years. Each month there will be a list of questions provided in advance to facilitate our discussion. Liz is looking for others who want to help lead a discussion. If you haven’t tried this before, she will work with you so please feel free to send her your ideas for books: firstname.lastname@example.org
Our first book choice is Five Quarters of the Orange, by Joanne Harris. When Framboise Simon returns to a small village on the banks of the Loire, the locals do not recognize her as the daughter of the woman they still hold responsible for a terrible tragedy that took place during the German occupation decades before. Although Framboise hopes for a new beginning, she quickly discovers that past and present are inextricably intertwined. Nowhere is this truth more apparent than in the scrapbook of recipes she has inherited from her dead mother.
Depending on regulations, this program will either take place at Netanya AACI to a limited audience with simultaneous broadcast on Zoom or it will be by Zoom only. Please register at the box office.
