Martine Claux was born in Tunis in 1952. She moved to Paris at the age of 19 and received her diploma from the School of Applied Arts four years later. She is primarily a watercolorist, sculptor, and art instructor.
She has worked in clay modeling and goauche and other mediums as well.
For much of the last 20 years Martine’s principal passion has been painting with watercolors, working to fuse different pigments and play with the magic of color mixed in water.
She has exhibited many times throughout France including several first place prizes in competitions both for her painting and her sculpture.
Martine made Aliyah 4 years ago and has happily settled in with Netanya’s French community although she misses her two children and grandchildren who are still living in France.
She teaches art in small groups in her home in central Netanya and also sells her work.
