Citizen Rights, Civil Rights, Human Rights and the Jews

10.30am Sunday 13 January

Dr. Howard D. Berger is a recent oleh and new member of Netanya AACI.

He received a BA and an MA in History from The George Washington University. He was Professor of History and Holder of the John Weyerhaeuser Chair in American History and retired in 2018 from the College of Idaho.

On the eve of MLK Day (Martin Luther King), a day more and more called Civil Rights Day, Jews should reflect on this: Why have Jews had such a difficult time in securing RIGHTS in so many places. Will having a Nation-State for the Jewish people solve or exacerbate the problem?
