Netanya AACI is honored to welcome the Irish Ambassador to Israel. Ambassador Kyle O’Sullivan arrived in Israel on 31 July 2019, accompanied by his wife, Carol, and their sons Christopher, Alexander and Michael.
Immediately before coming to Israel, Ambassador O’Sullivan had been the Consular Director at the Foreign Ministry in Dublin.
He undertook two previous assignments as an Irish Ambassador – to the Republic of Indonesia from 2014 to 2018, and to Nigeria from 2007 to 2010. His other overseas postings included Brussels, Tehran and Beijing, while other posts at headquarters included Head of Press, a Director on European Union matters, and a secondment to the Taoiseach’s (Prime Minister’s) Office.
Ambassador O’Sullivan was born and educated in Dublin. Before joining the Irish Foreign Service in 1993, he worked for the Hong Kong government. He will be speaking about Irish–Israel relations.
